![]() ![]() A state is a political entity with (usually) clearly defined territorial borders. ![]() Part of this complexity derives from the difficulty in distinguishing nation from state, and from ethnic groups. Nationalism is a diverse and complex phenomenon. However, this definition tells us little concerning different forms of nationalism or what motivates nationalist movements.
